Jimi Smokez - Co-Founder

From humble beginnings growing in a Burlington studio apartment in 2002 to perfecting his craft in the wilds of Bristol along Otter Creek, Jimi Smokez has always had a passion for the plant. His journey took him west to Northern California’s famed Emerald Triangle in 2008 and 2009, where he honed his skills in one of the world’s cannabis Meccas before returning to Vermont.

After a transformative chapter away, Jimi teamed up with his longtime friend Mikey Ice to launch a unique Italian ice business that turned into an unforgettable experience. Together, they built the Green Mountain Gas delivery service, later rebranded as Adapt, before founding Fierce in 2019—a venture rooted in bold ideas, relentless passion, and unparalleled dedication to the craft.

Jimi’s story is one of grit, evolution, and staying true to the fire within. At Fierce, he channels that energy into creating premium Vermont-grown cannabis for those who demand nothing less than the best.

Mikey Ice - Co-Founder

From first connecting with cannabis in high school to mastering the art of cultivation alongside Jimi Smokez, Mike has taken a journey fueled by passion, persistence, and purpose. Though growing wasn’t initially part of the plan, meeting Jimi in 2009 planted the seed. By 2017, that seed began to grow—even if the early attempts didn’t yield perfection. Once reunited with Jimi, the pieces fell into place, and a fierce cultivator was born.

With an extensive background in sales and a sharp business mindset, Mike serves as the Business Manager for Fierce as well as cultivating along side Jimi. Leveraging years of sales expertise, Mike shapes how Fierce markets its premium cannabis and connects with customers, ensuring every product tells a story of quality and care.

Rooted in experience and driven by a bold vision, Mike is committed to making Fierce a name synonymous with excellence in Vermont’s cannabis scene.
